On the second day of his two-day visit to poll-bound Karnataka, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will meet with sugarcane farmers and youngsters before addressing a public meeting in the state on Monday. On the other hand, in his latest round of electioneering in the poll-bound state, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president J P Nadda will hold separate roadshows in the state’s southern region on Monday.
Rahul Gandhi will connect with sugarcane growers in Ramdurg, Belagavi district, at 2 p.m. He would then travel to Gadag to participate in ‘Yuva Samvaad’ (youth interaction). According to the news agency PTI, the former Congress head will later be in head Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s adjoining constituency of Hangal in the Haveri district, where he would attend a public assembly in the evening. Bommai is running for the Shiggaon district seat. He’ll next travel to Hubballi to catch an aircraft back to Delhi. He arrived in Karnataka on Sunday, paid his respects to the 12th-century poet and social reformer Basaveshwara at his resting place in Kudala Sangama on the occasion of his birth anniversary, known as ‘Basava Jayanti’ in the state.
Amit Shah, J P Nadda To Hold Roadshows In Southern Karnataka
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J P Nadda will hold separate roadshows in the state’s south on Monday. On Sunday night, Shah arrived in Bengaluru. According to the BJP’s agenda, Shah would fly to Mysuru to pay his respects at the iconic Chamundeshwari Temple, as reported by PTI. He would subsequently fly from Mysuru to Gundlupet in Chamarajanagar district, where he will perform a roadshow from 1 to 2 p.m.
The Home Minister will then fly to Sakaleshpura, where he will hold another roadshow from 3 to 4 p.m. to encourage party cadres. After returning to Mysuru, he would fly to Hubballi in northern Karnataka in the evening in a special aircraft. The BJP leader will meet with party leaders at a posh hotel in Hubballi, where he will spend the night. Meanwhile, BJP President J P Nadda will arrive in Bengaluru by chartered jet in the afternoon, from whence he will take a helicopter ride to Sidlaghatta in Chikkaballapur district. Nadda will have a roadshow in Sidlaghatta from 2.30 to 3.30 p.m.
According to PTI, he will subsequently travel to Hoskote in Bengaluru Rural district to participate in another roadshow from 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm. In the evening, Nadda will attend a party meeting in Devanahalli, Bengaluru Rural district, where he will discuss the progress of poll preparations in the Hoskote, Devanahalli, Doddaballapur, and Nelamangala assembly districts. Nadda would return to Delhi via special aircraft after dinner.
