Summit On Global Supply Chain Resilience, Attended By Narendra Modi

As a participant country in a summit on Global Supply Chain Resilience, that took place in the United States, India was positioning a strong point. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi presented India as a “trusted source in the IT and pharmaceutical supply chains.” 

Since day one of being elected, U.S President Biden has made resilient supply chains a top priority. With 14 other leaders from different countries, the summit was an information-give and-take. Joining the President at the Summit are Leaders and representatives from Australia, Canada, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the European Union, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Italy, Republic of Korea, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Arindam Bagchi, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson informed the public through Twitter that the prime minister took participation in the Summit. He wrote, “Arindam Bagchi, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson informed the public through Twitter that the prime minister took participation in the Summit.”

PM of India defined three crucial aspects and they can be noted as a trusted source, transparency, and time-frame for the improvement of global supply chains. PM Modi also informed the world through his speech that the country is keen to participate in the clean technology supply chain. Narendra Modi is also scheduled to attend the 26th Conference of the Parties of COP26. It will serve to be the first in-person meeting between Indian and United Kingdom’s PM.

“Leaving for Glasgow after a fruitful G20 Summit in Rome. During the Summit, we were able to have elaborate deliberations on issues of global importance such as fighting the pandemic, improving health infrastructure, boosting economic cooperation, and furthering innovation,” Narendra Modi said in a tweet.

According to Johnson, the summit will be going to “world’s moment of truth” and has asked the world leaders to make the most of the information exchanged. Modi’s visit to the UK will end on Tuesday and during this period, he is scheduled for numerous bilateral meetings with various leaders of Switzerland, Finland, Japan, and more. 

The Prime Minister of India has been visiting multiple countries to improve the country’s image and relationship and the visits are a part of it.
