Mehbooba Mufti Writes Letter To PM Modi For Arrested Students

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has written a letter to PM Modi regarding the arrest of Kashmiri students celebrating India’s defeat in the T20 World Cup cricket match. Mehbooba has told the Prime Minister that I request you to intervene in this matter so that the future of these youth is not spoiled. Mehbooba Mufti wrote a letter to the Prime Minister about three students allegedly celebrating Pakistan’s victory over India in the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh.

Three Kashmiri students Arshid Yusuf, Inayat Altaf Shaikh, and Shaukat Ahmed Ghani were arrested on Wednesday for celebrating and raising anti-national slogans after Pakistan’s victory in the T20 match. The accused had expressed their happiness by putting a status video on WhatsApp. A case was registered against the three students in the police station Jagdishpura.

The T20 match between India and Pakistan was held on 24 October. It is alleged that after the victory of Pakistan, all three Kashmiri students had done anti-national activities. They shared inflammatory videos on his WhatsApp status. Along with this, in the chatting on the protest of a student, he had told Kashmir as his country.

The accused students Arshid Yusuf, Inayat Altaf Sheikh are third-year civil engineering students and Shaukat Ahmed Ghani fourth-year student in RBS technical campus. The college management had suspended all three after the matter came to the notice.
