India has submitted its latest Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) under the Paris Agreement, emphasizing that it will meet its long-term goal of reaching net-zero by 2070. In a Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) document submitted to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in a cover letter on 23 August, Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav said that India's NDC will not take any sector specific mitigation action or does not bind liability.
