Karnataka Election 2023: “This Election Is Not About Narendra Modi, It Is For Karnataka And Its People,” Says Rahul Gandhi In Turuvekere: Deets Inside!!!

SHIVANI UJJAINWALMay 1, 20230

Recently, congress leader and former member of the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi made the remark as a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the Karnataka Assembly election is not about him but rather the state of Karnataka and its citizens. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, saying that the Karnataka Assembly election is not about him, but about Karnataka and its people.

Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi recently, stated during a rally in the Karnataka district of Tumakuru that PM Modi comes to campaign for elections in Karnataka but does not talk about Karnataka and just talks about himself. “This election is not about you, it is for Karnataka and its people. You come to campaign for election in Karnataka, but don’t talk about Karnataka; you talk about yourself.” According to PTI, Rahul Gandhi said this during a rally in the election-bound state. Continuing his scathing attack on PM Modi, the Congress leader stated that the PM must understand that this election is not about him.

“This election is not about one person, not about Narendra Modi; the PM has to understand this,” Rahul Gandhi mentioned, as quoted by PTI. Also, he mentioned, “The PM speaks about Congress abusing him for 91 times, but didn’t say anything about what you did for Karnataka.” He lashed out at PM Modi and asked, “What did you do to stop corruption and “40 % commission” in Karnataka in the last 3 years.”

Also, he mentioned, “The PM speaks about Congress abusing him for 91 times, but didn’t say anything about what you did for Karnataka.” He lashed out at PM Modi and asked, “What did you do to stop corruption and “40 % commission” in Karnataka in the last 3 years.” Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP of pervasive corruption in Karnataka over the last three years, accusing it of “taking 40% commission in all kinds of work done by the government” and claiming that instead of doing public good work, “they looted from the pockets of the common man and poor.”

“It is not that the Prime Minister is not aware of this corruption and 40 per cent commission. He is aware of everything…so my question to the PM is despite knowing about this loot for the last three years, did you take any action? You did not. Why? You should answer this to the people of Karnataka,” he stated. He also asked the Prime Minister to explain what he did to ensure Karnataka received its fair share of tax money, how he assisted the state during floods, and how he attempted to address the inter-state water conflict between Karnataka, Goa, and Maharashtra. Rahul Gandhi urged the people to guarantee that the BJP, which is “involved in 40% corruption,” received no more than 40 seats, and to give the Congress at least 150 seats so that “they (BJP) do not buy MLAs and bring down the democratically-elected government.”
