Omicron Alert: Omicron Crisis May Deepen In England, 75 Thousand Deaths May Occur By April

According to a modeling study, the Omicron crisis may deepen as this version of the coronavirus could cause between 25,000 and 75 thousand COVID-19 related deaths in England by April next year if better control measures are not put in place. The study suggests that Omicron crisis has the potential to cause a large wave of infections in England, with more cases than in January 2021 and a significant increase in hospitalizations. NASA's Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPE) mission launches on SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. A joint venture with the Italian Space Agency , the IXPE is the NASA's first mission dedicated to measuring the polarization of X-rays for the most extreme and mysterious objects in the universe. On 2nd December, in Geneva GHO [Global Humanitarian Overview] announced that 274 million people will need emergency aid and protection. According to GHO this is 17% more than the last year.
