“Soul Shattering” Says Priyanka Gandhi Slams BJP Over Ujjain Rape Case. Police Say 5 People Being Questioned: Deets Inside!!!

Priyanka Gandhi, general secretary of the Congress, lashed out at the MP government on Thursday over the Ujjain rape case and claimed that nobody is secure under the BJP’s rule.

A 12-year-old boy’s horrific rape case in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, has once again brought humanity’s moral character into disrepute. Despite being bleeding and semi-naked, the victim continued to wander for more than two hours. The state’s BJP government is currently under fire from Congress, who has questioned the validity of its “Ladli Behna” campaign slogan. According to party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, girls, women, tribal people, and Dalits are not safe in MP and that the occurrence was “soul-shattering.”

“The brutality meted out to a little girl in Ujjain, the city of Lord Mahakal, is soul-shattering. After the torture, she kept wandering from door to door for help for two-and-a-half hours and then fell unconscious on the road but could not get help.” “Is this the state of law and order and women’s safety in Madhya Pradesh? Girls, women, tribals and Dalits are not safe in the 20 years of BJP’s misrule,” she stated in a post in Hindi on X, formerly Twitter.

She further questioned the point of announcing elections under the banner of Ladli Behna if the “girls cannot even get protection and help.” A video of the girl knocking on doors to ask for assistance brought attention to the event. The victim can be seen asking a man for assistance in the video, but he pushes her away. Apparently, the girl has a mental disability. Meanwhile, five people are being questioned by the police, according to Ujjain SP Sachin Sharma. “We have found that the girl is from Satna…Five people who came in contact with the minor girl are being questioned.”

An investigation team (SIT) has been created to look into the event, and a suspect has been detained, according to state Home Minister Narottam Mishra. Earlier, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and former party leader Rahul Gandhi also attacked the BJP, claiming that only if they take a break from election campaigning will Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan be able to hear the screams of women. Kharge claimed that while PM Modi is travelling around and attempting to sell women on the idea of reservations, the reality is quite different.

Randeep Singh Surjewala, the head of the state’s Congress, blasted CM Chouhan and the BJP-led administration, saying, “The great sin of cruelty to a girl child in the Mahakal police station area of Ujjain. Under the ineffective BJP government, near the police station, a 12-year-old girl becomes a victim of ‘Nirbhaya’ like brutality.” He reportedly stated that the girl continued to traverse the streets for two and a half hours while covered in blood despite being subjected to maltreatment. “But the police of the Shivraj government and the entire government attack kept sleeping. The girl has also told about something “wrong” happening with her mother, but the police still have no clue about it,” he alleged.

“This heart-wrenching incident is once again going to bring shame to Madhya Pradesh and the entire country. But in case of crimes against women.. Chief Minister Shivraj and the BJP government, which have made Madhya Pradesh the most unsafe state in the country. There is nothing for daughters except ‘false promises’ and ‘fake claims’. Shame on you, Shivraj ji,” Surjewala added. IANS said that despite the girl’s repeated requests for assistance, no one showed mercy. She arrived at an ashram where she feared there had been sexual assault, wrapped the victim with a towel, and hurried her to the local hospital. According to IANS, a medical test found evidence of rape. The kid underwent surgery on Wednesday, according to an official who spoke to PTI. The official stated that the girl’s condition is serious but stable.
