Under this initiative, school children will now study in sports every Saturday. Officials said that the Bhupesh Baghel government has taken this step to make school education interesting, practical and to connect children with their surrounding environment.

District education officers have been directed

The School Education Department has directed the District Education Officers in this regard. The department has instructed them to implement this initiative at the earliest. He said that exercise, yoga, sports competitions, literary-cultural activities, value-education, art-education etc. would be organized in schools for the students of classes I to VIII.

Under this initiative, headmasters will be asked to plan activities for every Saturday of the month and display the same on the notice board, the official said. Apart from this, interesting works or projects done by the students will also be displayed on Saturday.
