According to an official statement, the administration of Yogi Adityanath terminated Mukul Goel's position as the chief policeman in the state of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday night. The administration cited Goel's "indolence" and "ineffectiveness" as the reasons for his termination. The government of Uttar Pradesh has done something that has never been done before. Since the current government assumed office, there has been a rise in the number of particularly severe crimes, such as rape and murder.
