Sachin Pilot’s Rash 2020 Uprising Jeopardised His Chances Of Serving In Congress?
The fact that a majority of party MLAs have voted against Sachin Pilot's candidacy to succeed Ashok Gehlot as chief minister in 2020 has brought up bitter memories of Sachin Pilot's previous attempt at leading a successful rebellion. It does not appear, either then or now, that Pilot possesses the support of a sufficient number of MLAs to mount a credible challenge to Gehlot's leadership. Even the top leadership of the Congress, which had appeared to back him previously, is now in an embarrassing situation as a result of the resignation of the MLAs.
