Bharti Airtel has started Airtel 5G Plus service in the country from today i.e. 6th October. Airtel 5G Plus has been launched in the first eight cities namely Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, and Varanasi. Announcing this, the company said that customers will not need to change their SIM card to take advantage of 5G Plus services as the 5G network can be used only in the existing Airtel 4G SIM.
Gopal Vittal, Managing Director and CEO of Bharti Airtel said during the launch of Airtel 5G Plus that their 5G service will work on any 5G handset and existing SIM card that customers have. To further enhance the user experience, they have introduced 5G service and it is also environment friendly.
Vittal said, “Airtel 5G Plus is all set to redefine the way people communicate, live, work, connect and play in the years to come. Airtel 5G Plus runs on a technology that is said to be the most developed ecosystem in the world. This will ensure that all 5G smartphones in India work seamlessly on the Airtel network. Users will be able to do high-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, quick uploading of photos with superfast speed with Airtel 5G Plus”.
Airtel has claimed with 5G Plus that users will get 20-30 times more speed than the current internet speed. Users will also get the facility of super fast call connect with clear voice during calling. The company also said that customers need not change their SIM card to avail 5G Plus services, they can use the 5G network in the existing Airtel 4G SIM only.
According to the company, at present, customers will be able to use 5G only at the cost of 4G plan. That is, if 4G plan is activated in your phone, then you can use 5G internet with that. Airtel’s cheapest 5G recharge plan will be available for Rs 249, it will get 2 GB data and free calling facility. The validity of this plan will be 24 days. At the same time, Airtel’s cheapest plan with a validity of 56 days will come for Rs 499. It will get a total of 6 GB data, while the cheapest 5G plan with 365 days validity will come for Rs 1,699. A total of 24 GB data is offered in Airtel’s Rs 1,699 plan.
