Pollution Kills 24 Lakhs People Every Year In India: Lancet Planetary Health Journal

India tops the world on the pollution map. Every year at least 24 lakh people are dying in India due to pollution from the air, water, organic and industrial wastes, vehicles, etc.! Second, on the list of pollution in China, the number of annual deaths is 22 million. This has been reported in a recent international study on pollution. A pollution report published in The Lancet Planetary Health Journal, as a result of pollution, at least 9 million people worldwide die each year. America is in seventh place on that list. ‘Heat Islands’ Detected Around New Delhi; Picture Released By NASA!

There is a hint of barren red in the blue of the sea. A picture was recently released by the space research agency NASA. It can be called the mirage map of the capital Delhi and adjoining areas. A NASA satellite called Ecostress measures soil temperature from space. It has taken statistics of about twelve and a half thousand square kilometres in Delhi and adjoining areas from 5 to 13 May. The base is marked in red as 'Heat Island' or 'Heat Island'.
