India has sent 5 lakh of the 1 million (10 lakh) promised doses of Covaxin to Afghanistan through Iran via air. The vaccines reached Iran from where they will be sent to Indira Gandhi Children Hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan. This help is being provided under ‘Vaccine Maitri’ which is a humanitarian initiative by the Indian government to provide vaccines around the world. Other countries including Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Bhutan, Morocco, South Africa, Nigeria, etc. too have been the beneficiaries of this initiative. Anganwadi Workers Will Get An Incentive Of Rs 500 Every Month, CM Lays Foundation Stone Of 585 Centers

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday laid the foundation stone of 585 Anganwadi centers. In a function organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow, he has announced to give Rs 500 per month to Anganwadi workers and Rs 250 to helpers. Both Anganwadi and Mini Anganwadi workers will get Rs 500 per month. This incentive amount will be given from 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2022. At present, Anganwadi workers used to get Rs 55 hundred and Mini Anganwadi Rs 4250 and assistants got Rs 2750.
