Venugopal The women voters played a pivotal role in the sweeping victory of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, led by actor-turned-politician Vijay, when the party romped home with 108 seats in its debut run in the recent assembly election. Interestingly, Tamil Nadu recorded a huge jump in polling. For instance, its overall turnout had risen from 72.7 per cent in 2021 to 85.1 per cent in the poll.
