71% Indians Can’t Afford Healthy Meals, 1.7 Million Die Every Year Due To Poor Diet: Report
A report released by the Center for Science and Environment and Down to Earth magazine has demonstrated the way that 71% of Indians can't manage the cost of healthy food and more than 17 lakh (1.7 million) people pass on each year because of illnesses owing to an unhealthy eating routine. Overall 42% of the total population can't manage the cost of a healthy diet, said the report named "Province of India's Environment 2022: in figures". The report said that the diet of an average Indian doesn't contain an adequate number of organic products, vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts and entire grains.
