Gujarat High Court Yet To Deliver Verdict On Rahul Gandhi’s Plea Seeking Stay On Conviction In Defamation Case: Checkout Here!

The court had previously denied to issue any relief on May 2 and had stated that it would issue its final decision on June 5, following the end of the summer break. The Gujarat High Court has been back in session for more than three weeks, but no decision has yet been made in the most publicised case involving the conviction of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi for libel. The High Court turned down Mr. Gandhi's request for interim relief on May 2 while hearing his appeal for a stay of his conviction by a Surat court. It stated that it would make its final decision on June 5 when it resumes operations after the summer break. Senior attorney Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who represented Mr. Gandhi, submitted a crucial request that the conviction be overturned by Justice H.M. Prachchhak

Mansukh Mandaviya, the union's minister of health, said the states have been urged to speed up genome sequencing and should enact masking regulations. He continued by saying that random sampling of international travellers had begun in airports. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Health, stated on Thursday that the Center is closely monitoring new Covid-19 strains because of an enormous increase in infections in China. The minister stated that the states have been instructed to increase genome sequencing and that masking standards should be implemented in both houses of Parliament. “We are keeping an eye on the global covid situation & are taking steps accordingly. States are advised to increase genome-sequencing to timely identify the new variant of Covid-19”, the ministe
