The Indian Naval Ship (INS) Valsura has been awarded the celebrated President’s Colour by President Ram Nath Kovind. It is the best award or honour that is bestowed upon India’s military units. This award is additionally called ′Nishaan′ because it is an emblem which is worn by the bestowed units’ officers on their left-hand sleeve of the uniform. This award refers as an acknowledgment of the receiving unit’s meritorious service.
