Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, blasted the BJP-led government in the country's capital on Thursday for refusing to arrange a meeting with Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh, who was in town. At the Netaji Indoor Stadium in this city, Banerjee spoke to members of her party, “This is the first time the Prime Minister of Bangladesh came to India and did not come to Bengal despite her desire to meet me.” The leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) stated that she was curious as to why the BJP-led government in Delhi was concerned about her meeting with Hasina.
