Government Blocks 16 YouTube Channels Broadcasting Anti-National Activities; 10 Operated From India
The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the government of India has blocked 16 YouTube news channels for spreading propaganda related to India's national security, foreign relations and public order in the country. These 16 blocked YouTube channels include 10 Indian and 6 Pakistan based YouTube news channels. The government of India issued a statement saying that through these YouTube channels, false, unverified information was being spread to create panic, incite communal disharmony among the people of the country and they are disturbing public order in India.
