Russia Suspended From HRC (Human Rights Council) By UNGA; India Again Abstains From Voting!
Russia is suspended from HRC (Human Rights Council) anymore. This happened following the special emergency session of the UNGA, U.N. General Assembly on 7th April 2022, held in UN Headquarters in New York city. The UNGA (United Nations General Assembly) voted 93 to 24, with 58 abstentions, including India. The countries which demanded the "Suspension of the rights of membership" of Russia includes Ukraine, USA, Colombia, Costa Rica, Georgia, Japan, Liberia, UK and the Head of the delegation of the European Union.
