The Centre established a delimitation panel on Thursday, and the commission has given its final report for the delimitation of Parliamentary Constituencies and the delimitation of the Assembly for Jammu and Kashmir, which has been the most contentious state since 2019. Because of the increased number of Assembly seats as a result of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019, this delimitation commission was essential.
