Biden Canvasses Flood Damage In Kentucky, Pledges Federal Clearance
President Joe Biden called eastern Kentucky on Monday and engaged the federal government's full backing as the commonwealth began reconstructing following flooding that destroyed more than three dozen people and caused destructive damage. The President was bound by Kentucky Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear and obtained a briefing on the ongoing reaction to the flood. "It's going to take time to get over this, but I promise you we're not departing. The federal government and all its aids -- we're not departing; as long as it takes, we're going to be here."
