The Surrogacy Regulation Bill 2020 and ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) Bill 2021 passes Rajya Sabha on 8th December . The surrogacy Bill 2020 earlier passed by the Lok Sabha was went to the select committee of the Rajya Sabha. The Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya told that the aim of both the bills is to curb the exploitation of women. The union minister also added that for decades IVF and surrogacy are prevalent in India. Our country has many unregulated IVF centers with unregulated surrogacy sex selection. India’s First CDS General Bipin Rawat Dies in Helicopter Crash

General Bipin Rawat, India’s first-ever Chief of Defence Staff, has died in a helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. He was travelling with his wife and 11 others to Wellington, Tamil Nadu. The Russian-made military chopper, Mi-17V5, was heading for Wellington. The IAF said, “Gen Bipin Rawat, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) was on a visit to Defence Services Staff College, Wellington (Nilgiri Hills) to address the faculty and student officers of the Staff Course today,”. Geneva GHO Announced That 274 Million People Will Need Emergency Aid And Protection

On 2nd December, in Geneva GHO [Global Humanitarian Overview] announced that 274 million people will need emergency aid and protection. According to GHO this is 17% more than the last year. GHO stated that in 2021 we reached 107 million people out of 157 million , which is 70% of the target. This year GHO is targeting 183 million people with aid. As per the reports, people visiting the free eye checkup facility were told to undergo surgery for cataracts, after initial checkups.
