Current trends in Uttarakhand, as updated by the Election Commission, suggest that the ruling BJP has not only successfully fought the battle, but is also set to return to power in Uttarakhand. The Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to retain Uttar Pradesh for a second term after securing a massive lead in the first few hours of counting votes in the northern state.
