Ukraine-Russia War: America’s Reaction On Long Dispute So Far

Isha PoddarJuly 19, 20220

President Joe Biden vowed to support Ukraine "as long as it takes". His administration has spent about $8bn on military aid. In May, Congress passed a $40bn supplemental budget—more than Mr Biden had expected and more than the annual defence financial blueprint of most European allies—to assist Ukraine and deal with the global outcome of the dispute. But after nearly six months of involvement in the fight, with the hope of a long war, even Mr Biden's closest allies are seeking whether America might soon tire of the pressure. The president is more detested even than Donald Trump was at this point in his presidency. Inflation and excessive fuel prices are weakening Americans' spending power. And Republicans are set to make significant gains in mid-term elections in November: they are look...

Sayani ChakrabortyJuly 19, 20220

The biggest democracy in the world, India, boasts of its democratic framework and the system of elections that assures the preservation of the people's right to pick a government of their choosing. The fact that elections are a common characteristic of democratic systems across the globe, however, does not mean that they must be completely fair, free, impartial, transparent, and inclusive. On the basis of universal adult suffrage, Indian elections are conducted. Any Indian citizen who is at least 18 years of age is eligible to register as a voter on the country's electoral roll. Reservations are made for women, Scheduled Castes and Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and those from the Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes. The most crucial aspect and condition for allowing the genera...

Vikas DeshwalJuly 18, 20220

A report said that the area is considered under Chinese army control, and several things resembling US warships have also been noticed there. Vikas DeshwalJuly 18, 20220

US President Joe Biden finished his four-day visit to the Middle East demanding to explain the US impact in the area, but Joe Biden came back home empty-handed. Analysts said that making a U-turn to shine up to Middle East countries when Washington is in an oil crisis has again uncovered the US' selfishness and hypocrisy toward those regional countries. In a speech during a conference with six Gulf nations, Egypt, Jordan and Iraq, in Jeddah, President Biden said that the US would remain an energetic and essential partner in the Middle East, "The US is invested in building a positive future for the middle east, in strategic partnership with all six gulf nation. US Introduces New Legislation To Settle China-Tibet Dispute

Vikas DeshwalJuly 16, 20220

The "encouraging a bill to the Tibet-China Conflict Act," introduced on July 13, favours the Tibetan people's right to self-determination. It looks to build up "the long-standing, bilateral US policy of encouraging conversion by ensuring that US policy is based on the ideology of international laws and reflects the nature of the dispute between Tibet and the PRC. It may be noted that no formal conversion between the Beijing side and the Dalai Lama's representatives has happened since 2010. "The Chinese Communist Party's capturing of Tibet in 1950 and its suppression of Tibetans ever since set the period for the CCP's ongoing territorial antagonism and human rights cruelty," said Representative McCaul. The Bill Is Divided Into Two Parts: One, "it builds up the basis for USA support fo
