Agamapar ChadhaJune 21, 20220

Conversion therapy by the medical profession is an illegal practice to ‘cure’ and covert any sexual orientation of a person to strictly heteronormative. The patient subjugated to these will be ‘cleansed’ from their sexuality which is part of the L.G.B.T.Q.I.A+ section of sexuality. This practice involves physically and psychologically breaking to resolve their ‘abnormal’ tendencies. There are many reasons why this practice continues to prevail in India. From a religious perspective in Islam(14%) and Christianity( 2%), homosexuality is considered a sin. In Indian society, heteronormativity has become a symbol of pride, family honour, and reputation. Infidelity Pleasure More Than Sin: France’s Paternity Test Ban To Ensue Societal Chaos?

Agamapar ChadhaJune 20, 20220

The paternity test checks whether a child is the father’s offspring and involves extracting blood from the father and the child. These samples are given to a lab for analysis to prove/disprove a man is a child’s father. These tests have an obvious way of being useful as a tool for examining genetic conditions. Socially and financially, this test has many undertones with “absent fathers” paying child support to the previously helpless mothers, extra-marital affairs getting caught, and mothers not being able to claim fatherhood to take financial backing. France, however, stands apart from these implications by banning genetic testing altogether. Tests are performed under strict restrictions by the court’s orders in the circumstances ...

Aditi priya singhJune 20, 20220

This forced the government to curb wheat exports and cut production forecasts by about five percent (from 111.3 million tonnes to 106.4 ...
