Judge Rajasekhar Mantha of the Calcutta High Court relied on the State Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the Anis Khan case, a 27-year-old former Aliah University student who was found dead outside his home in Howrah’s Amta neighborhood. Four months later, the Calcutta High Court pronounced its verdict in the murder case of Howrah student leader Anis Khan. On Tuesday, Justice Mantha said there was no need for a CBI probe.
