Ukraine Crisis: Maternity Hospital In Mariupol Bombed By Russia Amid Ceasefire

The Ukraine crisis seems to have intensified as Russia has recently bombed a maternity and child hospital in Mariupol. The attack happened amid the so called agreed ceasefire between Russia-Ukraine to evacuate the innocent people trapped in war. Earlier, Russia agreed to give a clear passage to the people stuck in Mariupol and other hostage cities across Ukraine.   Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the attack by the Russian troops an "atrocity". He also tweeted, "Direct strike of the Russian troops at the maternity hospital. People, children are under the wreckage". So far, 17 people are found wounded and hurt including a woman in labour. The environment minister Bhupender Yadav has announced that the Centre has made a provision to 'Decriminalise' the stubble burning in the law.   Stubble burning is a major problem among the farmer's community. Delhi Tops In Adding Plastic Waste To Environment In India: CSE’s Report

Delhi tops the list in plastic waste generation across the country. This information is by the CSE (Centre for Science and Environment) in their latest report titled 'State of India's Environment 2022'. Delhi generates 689.8 tonnes of plastic in a single day. CSE is an NGO that calculates the data provided by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). According to the data analysis, India produces a huge amount of plastic waste, 25,940 tonnes of plastic waste every day. Keen On Rolling Out Aadhaar Cards For Sex Workers: UIDAI To SC

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has informed the Supreme Court that it is keen to give out Aadhaar Cards to sex workers.  They need to have a certificate from the health department of states or from the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO). UIDAI said that no residence proof or identity proof will be mandatory for such sex workers. The bench of Justices L Nageswara Rao and B R Gavai was hearing the petition on the lack of food security for sex workers across the nation, especially during the pandemic. Hunger Watch Report : 66% Families’ Income Suffer Loss; 25% Have Severe Food Insecurity Due To Pandemic

A survey conducted by the Right To Food Campaign in association with the Civil Society Organization reveals that 66% of families faced losses due to the pandemic. The Hunger Watch report states that the income of 2/3rd families is decreased in the two years of the pandemic.
