Delhi’s First 100% Electric Bus Arrives; “Congrats Delhi,” Tweets Kailash Gahlot!

Delhi has received first prototype of 100% electric DTC bus. Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has achieved this feat after a significant long wait. As per the reports, the delivery of buses was scheduled to start from November 2021. But due to the ongoing pandemic and other underlying reasons, it got delayed. Currently, DTC buses are CNG operated, which produce a smaller number of emissions as compared to diesel operated heavy vehicles. These e-buses will surely have a positive outlook on the Delhi’s deteriorating air quality. The plan, in much larger aspect, is to get 3,500 electric buses running on the roads.
