The ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) is celebrating its iconic week as part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative. The event was inaugurated on February 28, 2022,  and to run till March 6, 2022. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has informed the Supreme Court that it is keen to give out Aadhaar Cards to sex workers.  They need to have a certificate from the health department of states or from the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO). UIDAI said that no residence proof or identity proof will be mandatory for such sex workers.
