According to staff at Tihar jail, the former minister fell in the morning while using the lavatory. In order to examine a spinal issue, he was brought to the Safdarjung Hospital on Monday. On Saturday, he was transported to the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital where he was evaluated by medical professionals for a second opinion.
