The Minimum Support Price (MSP) demand was one of the key demands during the farmer agitation which ran for one year against the three farm laws. Though the three farm laws were repealed after one year of wait on November 19, 2021. The issue of MSP gained the limelight during and post farmers' protests. Even during multiple dialogues with the Centre and farmers association, no clear results came out on MSP demand. As the protest kept on intensifying, the Supreme Court intervened in the issue. CUET Mandatory For Undergraduate Programmes In Central Universities: UGC

The University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has announced that a Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is mandatory to take admission in undergraduate courses in Central universities. The UGC chairman also mentioned that Class 12 board marks will not add any weightage for the process to have admission in undergraduate courses. Although, universities can set eligibility criteria on the basis of the class 12 board marks. Rubbing Male Genitals Over Underpants Is Rape Under Section 375(B): Meghalaya HC

Meghalaya High Court has upheld the decision that "rubbing male genitals even if the female is wearing underpants is rape." The decision is taken under Section 375(b) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The bench led by Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee and Justice W Diengdoh rejected the appeal and declares the conviction of a rape accused and his sentence by a trial court in 2018. The bench said, "Even if it be accepted that the accused herein forced his organ into vagina or urethra of the victim, despite the victim wearing her underpants, it would still amount to penetration for the purpose of Section 375(b) of the penal code."
