As the entire world if fighting against the deadly corona virus, with almost everything coming to a halt because of the pandemic, It’s high time that we realise our responsibilities and duties as proud citizens of our country.
With more than 3 lakh lives lost across the world, it is our responsibility to show our support and gratitude at this time of need. As positive cases in the country are increasing at an alarming rate, many areas and highly impacted zones are facing shortage of medical supplies and equipments. Standing up for this discrepancy and showing support for the same, actress-dancer Nora Fatehi has not only donated personal protective equipment (PPE) kits to various government hospitals, but has also been urging people to pitch in for the same and help other medical fraternities amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
Making an appeal via a new Instagram video on her social media handle, the actress said, “Namaste! The world is battling a global pandemic among other crazy things and we are going through some difficult times. We have the privilege to be able to self-isolate at home and stay safe. However, there are people out there who have to leave their homes on a daily basis to go to work and be at the frontlines battling the coronavirus pandemic. These people are our medical workers… Our medical workers come in contact with coronavirus on a daily basis and it’s a scary thought.”

Elaborating further on the protection of the workers, she said, “They also have the right to treat their patients and go to work while they are protected. They have the right to have the resources that will protect them from the virus while they are working in the hospitals. Unfortunately, there are limited resources of PPE Kits. Our medical workers deserve to have access to these kits. There should be no limited resources to PPE kits,” she said, adding: “I am personally going to donate PPE kits to government hospitals across India.”
Urging people to do the same, she also mentioned that every bit of information regarding the PPE kits will be completely transparent.
