As Bollywood has always given a platform to people to showcase their talent and skills, it has also given the existing ones a wider reach and audience to share their opinions and voice their criticism.
One such actress who is known for always being outspoken and vocal about her opinions is ‘Panga’ actress Kangana Ranaut. So when the news about the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit sarpanch, Ajay Pandita in Anantnag came out in the media, the actress couldn’t stop herself from calling out the Bollywood fraternity for their cold silence and selective secularism. Though a few celebrities such as Anupam Kher and Ashoke Pandit have expressed their grief and anger, strongly condemning his death that happened through a shot by an unidentified terrorists at Lokbawan in Anantnag, Kangana Ranaut bashed other Bollywood celebrities who did nothing but quietly sat watching the news.
In the video shared by her team on her Twitter handle, Kangana Ranaut was seen holding a placard that read, “I am Hindustani, I am ashamed, #JusticeForAjayPandit, Murdered in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir.” Slamming Bollywood stars for their silence and voicing her opinion on how their support comes only at times when there’s a ‘jihadi agenda’, she said, “Unki ye maanavta tabhi phoot padti hai, jab iske peechhe koi jihadi agenda ho, magar kisi aur ko insaaf dilana ho, toh inke mu se chu tak nahi hoti.”
Further in the video, she urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to have Kashmiri Pandits sent back to Kashmir, so that they could claim back their lost lands and that Ajay Pandita’s sacrifice shouldn’t go in vain.
