After receiving notice of the chargesheet in the case involving allegations of sexual harassment made by wrestlers, Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi summoned Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), and Vinod Tomar. I do not want any exemption from appearing before court,&#8221; news agency ANI quoted Brij Bhushan as saying. Taking cognisance of the chargesheet, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Harjeet Singh Jaspal directed Brij Bhushan Singh to appear before the Delhi court on July 18.\u00a0 The court also summoned Vinod Tomar, assistant secretary of the Wrestling Federation of India who was suspended in connection with the case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-157727 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/brij-bhushan-pti-1212730-1682402565-1226033-1686279161.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/brij-bhushan-pti-1212730-1682402565-1226033-1686279161.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/brij-bhushan-pti-1212730-1682402565-1226033-1686279161-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/brij-bhushan-pti-1212730-1682402565-1226033-1686279161-450x253.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It should be noted that on June 15, the Delhi Police filed a chargesheet against Brij Bhushan Singh, a six-time MP, under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Vinod Tomar was charged with charges under Sections 109 (abetment of any offence, if the act assisted is undertaken in consequence, and if no express provision is made for its punishment), 354, 354A, and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, a BJP lawmaker and the president of the Indian Wrestling Federation, has been charged with harassing female athletes. After Anurag Thakur, the Union Sports Minister, intervened, the Delhi Police on June 15 issued a 1,500-page charge sheet in the case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-157728 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/2023_1largeimg_193136086.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"434\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/2023_1largeimg_193136086.jpg 660w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/2023_1largeimg_193136086-300x197.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/2023_1largeimg_193136086-450x296.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In accordance with the POCSO Act, another FIR was also filed against Brij Bhushan based on claims of sexual harassment made against him by a young wrestler. He had been accused of sexual harassment by seven female grapplers, including her.
