There he met the party workers included in the voter list and appealed to them to vote for the change. After meeting the party workers, he made his intentions clear by holding a press conference. He said, &#8216;Some people are spreading rumors that I am going to withdraw my name in the election for the post of Congress President. Kharge is believed to be a candidate supported by the Gandhi family. According to the election notification issued by Congress Election Tribunal President Madhusudan Mistry, the candidates standing in the election can withdraw their names till October 8. If no nomination is returned by this date, then there will be a contest between the two candidates.
