Vasudhaiva kutumbakam has come from maha Upanishad to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) stage and to being a celebrated thought to cure a cracked world. If the world welcomes the philosophy of Vasudhaiva, Kutumbakam will help the world come together as one family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">India observes \u201cAzadi ka Amrit Mahotsav\u201d to celebrate its 75 years of Independence. Now we again think about the core philosophies of Indian civilization: Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed the direction at the meeting of the World Economic Forum on 23 January 2018. the president of the World Economic Forum was very expressive about \u201cIndia\u2019s philosophy of the world is one family \u2014 VasudhaivaKutumbakam<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0In his speech at the session, PM Modi clarified Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam while talking about Purnamadah Purnamidam from Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, saying \u2013 \u201cIn the expression of the material world also, ages ago, we resounded the same thing by speaking Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-149546 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/original.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/original.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/original-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/original-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/original-450x253.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is a giant Vedantic idea from Maha Upanishad, an ancient Indian scripture. Mahatma Gandhi\u2019s Ahimsa (non-violence) is both a faith and a plan for supplementing Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. It visualizes the unity of humankind as one family. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam communicates a sense of exact to our ordinary society, our common growth goals, and our standard search for a rule-based worldwide order and international peace. In the light of these good ideas, India\u2019s political leaders decided to inscribe Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam at the door of the Parliament of India.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0On the 69th Republic Day of India, President Ram NathKovind, in his address to the nation, again called up Vasudhaiva Kutumbakamas. He said, \u201cAnd of course, the highest stage of India\u2019s nation-building project is to contribute to building a better world \u2013 a composite and cohesive world, a world at peace with itself and harmony with nature.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-145986 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/MODI-JI.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/MODI-JI.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/MODI-JI-300x171.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/MODI-JI-450x257.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Prime Minister Modi, while saying at the World Culture Festival in March 2016, said\u2013 \u201cIndian culture is vibrant and has implemented in each one of us great values, we are the citizen who has come from maha Upanishads to Upgrah (Satellite).<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-149548 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"770\" height=\"433\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/2.jpeg 770w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/2-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/2-768x432.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/2-450x253.jpeg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 770px) 100vw, 770px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Former External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj also used Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam in her speech at the UNGA on September 24, 2017: \u201cWe believed that the world is single-family and we hope that every arm of this family deserves that medicine of life, pleasure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The acquisition of the decision for the International Yoga Day by the UNGA with the support of an enormous majority of 177 countries is an outstanding example of the application of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Africa\u2019s thinking of Ubuntu, which means \u2018I am because we are\u2019, is also the best part of the intrinsic relationship of our existence. Vasudhiva Kutumbakam means Vasudhaiva is Vasudha, our planet earth; therefore, the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam shows India\u2019s worrying for the environment and the whole planet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The thinking of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam could also guide countries to attach to sustainable development goals, stop biodiversity loss and work towards reducing climate change.
