After winning the election and returning to power, this time he is eager to keep that promise. Headed by the retired Supreme Court Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, the state government has formed a committee to look into the legal process for enforcing uniform civil law in Uttarakhand.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Uttarakhand government, the committee will outline the same laws for marriage, divorce, land and inheritance for people of all faiths. The committee comprises retired Justice Promod Kohli, social activist Manu Gaur, retired IAS officer Shatrughan Singh and Dun University Vice-Chancellor Surekha Dangwal.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-147213 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/civil-code1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1031\" height=\"712\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/civil-code1.jpg 1031w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/civil-code1-300x207.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/civil-code1-1024x707.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/civil-code1-768x530.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/civil-code1-450x311.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.caravanalive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/civil-code1-869x600.jpg 869w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1031px) 100vw, 1031px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Announcing the decision to form the committee, Dhami wrote in a Facebook post, &#8220;This decision will preserve the culture of Devbhoomi (Uttarakhand) and bring equality among all religious communities.&#8221; Narendra Modi and Amit Shahera want to move forward on the path of launch. But in this case, he wants to start the process step by step from the BJP-ruled states. The process of introducing uniform civil code in the BJP-ruled state of Goa has already begun.<\/p>\n<p>We have taken a decision to implement the Uniform Civil Code in the state. Uttarakhand will be the second state after Goa to implement this.
