The collaboration between NMDC and IIT-Kharagpur will open a replacement era in mineral exploration for the country.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/knnindia.co.in\/uploads\/newsfiles\/DRONE-19--2022.jpg\" alt=\"NMDC signs MoU with IIT Kharagpur for drone based mineral exploration\" \/><br \/>\nIf we talk about Spectral products, algorithms and methods would be developed by IIT Kharagpur and NMDC for exploration using drones (UAV) for mining.<\/p>\n<p>This collaboration would also cause software spectral tools development for the aim of capacity-building programs on mining technology and mineral excavation.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/st.adda247.com\/https:\/\/wpassets.adda247.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/multisite\/sites\/5\/2022\/03\/21150203\/drones_1641227815666_1647671680386-1568x882.jpg\" alt=\"IIT Kharagpur: For drone-based mineral exploration NMDC Sign MoU with IIT Kharagpur\" \/><br \/>\nNMDC is hoping for digitalization and technological innovation of its database associated with mining and exploration.<\/p>\n<p>For six decades NMDC has been exploring minerals for a large range of minerals like rock phosphate, copper, magnesite, limestone, tungsten, diamond, and beach sands amongst others right from the G4 reconnaissance level to the detailed G1 level of world organization Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/im-mining.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1B3C9A54-8476-487C-B82B-0102EDD8E188.jpeg\" alt=\"NMDC and IIT Kharagpur sign MoU for drone-based exploration - International Mining\" \/>In Madhya Pradesh, exploration for various minerals is being conducted by NMDC and for diamonds, exploration is being conducted in Chhattisgarh\u2019s Beloda-Belmundi block.<\/p>\n<p>NMDC is the first CPSE that&#8217;s utilizing space geophysics within the central Indian diamond province and is also the primary to use the BHUVAN platform\u2019s online monitoring of exploration of knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>BHUVAN may be a multi-purpose end-user satellite application platform, also called the Indian version of Google Maps. ISRO is responsible for this platform.
