Haryana Government To Buy Stubble At MSP From Farmers, Will Increase Income Of Farmers!!

We know how much problem stubble burning caused to the people of Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi. Farmers of these places have been continuously burning stubble and rising air pollution that increases to the maximum level in the winter season. And now Haryana government is planning to buy stubble at MSP for permanent management. This will directly benefit the farmers and their sources of additional income will also increase. Soon a tender will also be made for the use of 20 lakh metric tonnes of biomass pellets in the thermal plant.

On Tuesday, Chief Minister Manohar Lal gave this information to Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav in video conferencing. Yadav was presiding over the meeting with the ministers of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, and Rajasthan for crop residue management, air pollution control in Delhi-NCR region. Chief Minister Manohar Lal attended the meeting from Chandigarh.

The Chief Minister informed that paddy is grown in about 4800 villages in the state. These villages are divided into three zones Green, Yellow, and Red. Under in-situ management, 23 lakh metric tonnes of stubble would be handled through various machines and decomposers, and under ex-situ management, 13 lakh metric tonnes of stubble would be handled. Till now only 83 incidents of stubble burning have been reported and farmers are being made aware about not burning stubble.

Yadav appreciated the crop residue management activities of Haryana. He said the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Manohar Lal has laid emphasis on management by reducing the incidents of stubble burning. There has been a drastic reduction in the use of diesel-powered generator sets in the society of Gurugram. Manohar Lal assured the Union Minister that the government is very serious about crop residue management. All types of schemes are being implemented effectively at the ground level. It will make Haryana clean, healthy, and prosperous.
