Even if you are not an ardent fan of the Kardashian-Jenner family, we are sure you know all about the hubbub to do with her lips.
In an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians back in 2015, Kylie even addressed the issue. She admitted of getting lip fillers and explained that her lips were an insecurity of hers.
This even lead to the appearance of a “challenge” (the internet is a weird place) called the “Kylie Jenner lip challenge” which faced a huge backlash from many, including doctors who advised against taking up this challenge.
But in a positive change in the course of events, she recently uploaded a picture with her friend on Instagram and people couldn’t help but notice a slight change.
Her lips look significantly thinner, reminding us of her old self. She later confirmed that she has, in fact, removed all her lip fillers and all her fans are loving it.
We live in a society which holds different, mostly unattainable, beauty standards for both men and women. Many young women look up to celebrities like Kylie as their role model. And to see Kylie shed her insecurities and embrace her natural beauty will definitely have a positive impact on them. It’s amazing to witness how beauty gurus all over the world are constantly trying to embrace their true selves and also breaking and changing the yardsticks of beauty. Make-up is an art- people use it to express themselves and we’re all here for it. It is a choice and people must respect it. Having said that, young men and women should not feel obligated to use makeup in order to hide their “imperfections”.
