Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor is all set to make her debut in Bollywood. Starring opposite Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother Ishan Khatter, “Dhadak” will release on 20th July.
Janhvi’s mother veteran actor Sridevi passed away a few months back, leaving the whole country in shock. But Janhvi and her younger sister Khushi kept a brave front. She went back to shooting for “Dhadak” within a few days of her mother’s unfortunate death.
The Kapoor family, since then, have stood in support of both the sisters. Elder siblings Arjun and Anshula Kapoor have been taking care of the younger ones and it’s so heartwarming to see their relationship.
In a recent interview, Janhvi had this to say about her elder siblings, “The only reason we can stand strong after whatever happened is because of the kind of love and support Arjun bhaiyya and Anshula didi have been giving us. It’s a family dynamic that I relish. I am very thankful for them. I couldn’t have asked for a better brother and a better sister. They have given us a lot of strength. He is a very wise man and has given tips like, ‘just be honest, be yourself and be respectful towards people.’ Somehow, when he says it, I take it like the gospel truth.”
Arjun’s father Bonnie Kapoor married Sridevi when he was merely 11 years of age and his cold relationship with his half-siblings and stepmom was the talk of the town. In an old interview, he even admitted that “We don’t really meet and spend time together, so it doesn’t really exist.”
But it seems like things have changed and the family is together through thick and thin. We would love to see Arjun and Janhvi do a movie together!
