Irrfan Khan, a renowned Bollywood actor has been diagnosed with a disease named Neuroendocrine Tumor. A few days back it was being speculated that the actor was suffering from Jaundice. But the actor dismissed all the rumours and claimed that he would soon reveal about his disease in open and that’s exactly what he did.
Earlier on Friday, the actor took it to his twitter account to reveal that he is suffering from a rare disease.
In his statement he mentioned –“The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Tumour as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell.”

In an interview with a leading daily, Irrfan Khan’s Blackmail director Abhinay Deo said –“Irrfan doesn’t want us to postpone the film. Bhushan (Producer of the film) and I will make sure that Blackmail gets the best possible release. The onus of marketing and releasing the film is now on us. We took the decision of launching the song only after meeting Irrfan”.
He further added-“When I met him, he was very curious to know about the trailer, songs and the dialogue promos that we would be making. His only request was that the film should get the best possible release and it should not suffer because of his absence”.
On February 5, 2017, Irrfan tweeted “ Sometimes you wake up with a jolt with life-shaking you up. The last 15 days, my life has been a suspense story. Little had I known that my search for rare stories would make me find a rare disease”. Irrfan Khan further added- “I have never given up and have always fought for my choices and always will. My family and friends are with me and we are working it out the best way possible. In trying times, please don’t speculate as I will myself share with you my story within a week – 10 days, when further investigations come with a conclusive diagnosis. Till then, wish the best for me.”
