2017 had been a lucky year for our B-town celebrities. While some got married to the love of their lives, others embraced parenthood. Amongst the ones who became proud parents was also our Bollywood fame filmmaker, Karan Johar who got blessed with twins, Yash and Roohi through surrogacy. The ace filmmaker even took it to his social media account to announce about the arrival of his pieces of heart and wrote, “I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science.” And today when his little ones have turned 1, the proud father has yet again taken it to his social media account to express his love for his kids.

vKaran shared a cute picture of Yash And Roohi along with a sweet birthday message that read, I can’t thank the universe enough for giving my mother and me the most beautiful gift ever….Happy Birthday Roohi and Yash….you are a blessing to us❤❤”.

Check out his post right here:

In a recent interview, when Karan was asked about his twin kids’ first birthday plans, he had revealed that it will be an intimate one. He told, “It’s a small birthday party at home, with just kids their age. I want to keep it simple and intimate this year.”

Also by intimate, he didn’t mean that the party will be minus his B-town friends. His guest list very much includes Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan with son Taimur Ali Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Aditya Chopra with daughter Adira, Tusshar Kapoor with son Laksshya Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor and Mira Kapoor with daughter Misha Kapoor. As per a statement in DNA, a source revealed, “Karan has already spoken to his friends and invited them and their tiny tots to the party at his home. So, there will be Taimur Ali Khan, Adira Chopra, Misha Kapoor, Laksshya Kapoor and some other B-Town kids.”

Earlier in the day, we also came across a super-adorable video of the brother-sister duo where they were seen playing on their baby walkers, Yash riding the blue one and Roohi riding the pink one.

If you haven’t seen the video yet, take a look:

Looks like Yash and Roohi are already in the celebration mode. This is only making us want to see the inside pictures and videos from their birthday party already.

But since we have to wait for that to happen, let us take you through what Karan has said about his little bundle of joys in the past one year and some of the cutest clicks of the birthday twins.

Sister love!!!!❤️

Revealing about his kids being premature babies, Karan wrote in his open letter, “My children were born two months premature and worryingly underweight. Like any person in this situation and on the brink of fatherhood, my heart sank. Knowing that there were complications with my babies birth owing to how soon it was, I was terrified. All I wanted to do was hold them and protect them but they needed to be in the NICU. It was painful to see how tiny they were…”

Merry Xmas from me and mine!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

When the ace director was asked in an interview if he ensures to dress his kids in trendiest clothes, he said, “”I don’t think so. Although that’s the expectation when it comes to me.” He also added, “Right now, I am focussing on them being good and being well brought up children. I am giving them the right value system rather than the right clothes. Fashion is really not on the priority list for me.”

My world 2.0 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Earlier in an interview, Karan had also shared that their first birthday will be a great milestone for them. He had said, “I am looking forward to celebrating their first birthday. It’s a proud moment that I am waiting for. I am sure they will not understand the meaning of that celebration because they’re too young for that, but I will celebrate the milestone in their lives and mine with aplomb.”
