ALIVE, which incorporates
CARAVAN, first published in 1940, is on the threshold of a
change.
ALIVE invites unpublished stories,
snippets and incidents from all over the country. Contributors
may follow these guidelines :
- Passages, which is unique to a State and a region.
- In not more than 300 words.
- 3-4 relevant unpublished photos should accompany it.
- The snippet can be related to a political event,
religious and social evils, gimmicks, social drama worth
reporting, children, employment, leadership, education,
sports, technology, disease and human aid, marriage, trade,
bribery, cars, development in a certain sector, related to
the economics of the areas, short interviews ( 3-4 hard
hitting questions), or something which you feel should be
published in the interest of readers.
- Payments will be made for the text as well as the
photos which accompany it.
- Enclose a self addressed stamped envelope to ensure an editor's
note and a response.
- You may also upload the text and photos on the new
website of ALIVE >>> caravanalive.com.
Please use
the writer's interface for the same and follow the
instructions given there.
- Selected passages will be published in a separate
section of 16 pages in ALIVE, which will be called "What You
Missed". This section will have about 30-35 snippets every
month with pictures, which will be unique to ALIVE.
ALIVE will also introduce another section for the new
technology users called "c-o-n-n-e-c-t-e-d" dealing with the
fast changing computers and internet. Details of this section
will be sent to you in due course.
