Last 5 deliveries of his over were hit for 16 runs. Finally Shami stopped the Finch storm, he scored a brilliant 69 runs off just 39 runs but till this time Gujarat was set for a high total Jadeja and Faulkner stood not out in the end with 13 and 14 runs each off 7 and 8 balls respectively.

Delhi looked in trouble losing early wickets as they lost Samson and Pant in 2nd over it was 15/2. Shreyas Iyer and Nair carried on building a partnership; Nair continued to hit bowlers for merciless boundaries. Nair was out by Faulkner in the 8th over scoring a quick 30 off 15 balls but Iyer continued attacking the bowlers although wickets kept falling as Samuels and Anderson also scored in single digits and soon departed, Brathwaite was also out for 11 runs.
