Redmi Note 4: A Smartphone with mind boggling features

The price bracket of Rs.9, 000 to 14,000 has got very competitive in India in the Smartphone segment. Brands like Asus, Lenovo, Motorola, Xiaomi, Samsung, Coolpad and LeEco are doing their best to attract customers. Chinese Smartphone manufacturers dominate the reasonable Smartphone segment in the whole world and India is no exception. Chinese Smartphones are reasonably prized and offer mind-boggling features and are loved for their appeal and versatility.

Xiaomi is a privately owned Chinese company headquartered in Beijing; that designs, develops, and sells smartphones, Android-based Operating Systems and other consumer electronics. Xiaomi also makes fitness trackers, TVs, smart home (IoT) device ecosystem, air purifiers, and tablets. It has a skin for its Android phones and tablets – MIUI. Most of its phones are sold via flash sales in India by websites like Flipkart, Amazon and Mi.It is the fifth largest Smartphone making company in the world.

Xiaomi has come up with its Redmi Note 4, which has created waves in the Indian Smartphone market ever since its launch.

The dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It exhibits a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels), a 2.5D curved glass IPS display with a 401ppi pixel density. The Smartphone is empowered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC and is available in 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM variants in India. It has three color variants dark grey, gold and black. Multitasking will give a good experience on this Smartphone as switching between apps or launching apps will be very fast with the Redmi Note 4, because of the octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and it will be even faster with 4 GB RAM variant. Redmi Note 4 is 20% more power efficient than the Redmi Note 3 and the owners of Redmi Note 3 can consider it a good option to upgrade.

 

The Redmi Note 4 features a 13-megapixel CMOS sensor on the back equipped with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), an f/2.0 aperture, 77-degree wide angle lens, and dual-tone LED flash. The front sees a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor, coupled with an 85-degree wide angle lens. The Smartphone supports expandability via a hybrid dual-SIM card configuration; supporting microSD cards (up 128GB).The Sales Package contains a Handset, USB Cable, Adapter, SIM Tray Remover Pin, User Guide and Warranty Card. Though the phone is good but its only drawback is its camera quality, the camera.Redmi Note 4 has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. If you’ve got good light, camera performs very well. The pictures are clear, the colors are not very saturated, and some of the closer shots are fantastic. But pictures in low-light may end up blurred and unclear.

 

However, Mi has been able to create a hype around its product successfully in the same way it did with many of its phones in the past, many of the people who desire to possess this phone complain that the flash sale is for a very short time and it is difficult for them to get the phone when they want it, so availability is an issue.
