This time Delhi’s election is a four way competition with swaraj India party making its debut in elections hoping to do what Kejriwal did in 2015. The BJP is looking for 3rd consecutive win whereas Congress is eyeing a comeback after a poor show in 2015.

Delhi will come out to vote tomorrow (23-04-2017). As most of the polls giving majority to BJP and BJP is also ruling party in civic election from last two terms that is ten years. The AAP boom in Delhi seemed a low during Rajouri Garden polls where AAP candidate had to lose its security deposit.

Here is a round up about Delhi Civic polls:

·         There are a total of 272 wards for municipal elections in Delhi.

·         The wards come under 3 civic bodies that are: North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) and the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC).

·         The counting and results will be out on 26th of April.

·         AAP and Swaraj India will be contesting MCD polls for the1st time.

·         Total number of voters in Delhi are 1,32,10,206 where 73 lakhs are male and 59 lakhs are female voters.

·         This is the first MCD election where NOTA option will be available.

·         The MCD has over 40 percent seats reserved for woman.
