Zara Tindall — Queen Elizabeth II‘s granddaughter and the daughter of Princess Anne — and her husband Mike Tindall made their first official appearance of the year, less than a month after announcing Zara had suffered a miscarriage.
Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall have had a tough few months, having suffered a devastating miscarriage less than a month after they announced Zara was pregnant with their second child.
The couple, who wed in 2011, attended the Pacific Fair Magic Millions Polo in Queensland, Australia, on Sunday. They were spotted holding hands and smiling at they made their way around the grounds.
Zara, 35, even changed from her white lace shirt dress into some riding jodhpurs, a polo top and boots, so she could have a go at the sport herself.
Speaking ahead of the event, the royal's spokesperson told media that Olympic silver medallist Zara was "keen and ready to play" a game of polo.
It comes just two weeks after the couple released the news of the loss of their second child.
In a statement on Christmas Eve, their rep said: "Very sadly, Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby. At this difficult time, we ask that everyone respects their privacy."
