For those who are struggling really hard to get rid of this, a new application has been exclusively launched for them. It is quite easy to access and can teach people to form healthier thought patterns.
1. THE THINKLADDER APP
This app has gone no. 1 on the downloads chart in New Zealand and now being loved by Indians too. The tool aims to tackle negative habits and helps in focusing on four therapeutic functions based on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Especially for those suffering hard and access to help and support is essential to them; this was the attitude of this mental health app!
This has been created by a couple from New Zealand, Matt and Katie Gatt who left their jobs just to make this app of $5. “For the last decade, we’ve been involved in the people-helping industry, dreaming of how we can get the amazing therapeutic techniques and insights that exist ‘out there’ into the hands of people who need them.”- Makers said!
Anxiety and depression are two different mental issues. Though they are commonly referred to in a conversation because 50% of people with Anxiety will be suffering from depression too and vice versa. Still, there is a need to understand the difference between them so as to get the correct treatment.
Feelings of severe despondency and dejection. It negatively affects how you feel, how you think and how you act causing feelings of loneliness, sadness and loss of interests in activities once enjoyed.
Symptoms- Depressed mood, increase or decrease in appetite, insomnia or hypersomnia, slowing of movement, lack of energy or suicidal thoughts and behaviours.
A feeling of worry, unease, nervousness about something with an uncertain outcome. Something which makes you feel stressed about and may also cause overthinking. The fear or worry does not get away and gets worse with time.
Symptoms- excessive worry, restlessness, being easily fatigued, trouble concentrating, irritability, sleep disturbance or muscle tension.
Thus, the above-mentioned app has been launched to help live your life freely. “Our subconscious beliefs profoundly influence our mood, automatic thoughts and habitual responses, they are also made on the concept of self-directed neuroplasticity- which describes our ability to rewire our brain by way of focused concentration, repetition and perseverance,” Gatt said in an interview.
The app is available on smartphones in the UK via iTunes and the app store.
